So, our toy hauler is a bit smaller than the trailer you are talking about. 6885 dry weight, but way more carrying capacity, not quite as long (about 32'). We originally had a 2013 F150. It was not fun to pull our trailer with the F150 whatsoever, even after adding better tires, airbags, WD hitch, etc etc. And, that was WITHOUT any toys in it, and it's just me and my husband and minimal "stuff" (ie no bikes or other heavy sporting equipment). It was "OK" on flat highways without wind, but once the wind picked up or we needed to go downhill (uphill was OK too), it was awful. We gave up and upgraded to an F250, and it was like night and day.
Do yourself a favor and figure out how to swing a 250, or get a smaller trailer. As for the commute issue, I sometimes would drive it to work, which was 16 miles/35-40 minutes one way. It was perfectly fine for me, a 5'3" female in business attire, to drive as a daily.
Oh also, the truck before the F150 was a Tundra, and the hubs got rid of it because he knew before we even bought a trailer that it wouldn't be enough truck to pull anything we'd want.
