The difference in cost of using and maintaining an F250 vs F150 is principally the cost of fuel. Tires, shocks, and that one quart of oil don't amount to much difference.
If a user uses his truck for an average 20K mi/yr. the difference in fuel price is probably around $1K-$1.5K. That is all commuting miles. If you subtract the towing miles where fuel consumption is much the same, the gap shrinks.
There are also a couple of things that offset the increased usage price in that the F250 should be worth more on resale or trade and there should be fewer repairs because it is built better for the job it does.
