Thanks to everyone for responding. And to answer a few questions -
- I checked/double checked windows/doors/trim and everything is tightly closed and seems to be in order.
- Regarding antenna, I have the same thing I had on my previous truck, a stubby/short black antenna on the left side of the roof. No issues with this setup on previous truck. On new truck, however, the antenna is within an inch or two of one of the lights.
- It is not a diesel.
- No frost or ice. Nice, reasonably sunny 8 degrees (C).
- Change in heat/ac/fan does not impact the noise.
4x4ord - How was your friends windshield issue resolved? And how was it determined to be that issue?
Benk - will try the hose, but both me and passenger think it is coming from above the cab.
And to elaborate a bit. Driving down the road, as speed hits 80kmh and above, noise is heard. Due to terrain, if I slow, then later accelerate above 80-ish, the noise may not re-surface until the speed is closer to 90. Occasionally, there is no noise at theses speeds and sometimes it is louder (which is why I thought it might have something to do with which way the natural wind is blowing, but I dunno about that).
Problem with this whole thing is, once you know it is there, it is hard to ignore.
