Whitehawk Wide Stance Axle Failure
This is to pass on a issue with the Wide stance axles (42" spread) on the Jayco White Hawks. The original models were made with 2 3/8" diameter axle from Dexter, which are causing inside tire wear due to the axle not being able to handle tight radius turns with the wider stance.
When I google'd my issue it brought me to this link: http://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15137
Which has all the information you need to look for on your TT and who to contact.
Not to repeat all the information that is posted in that forum, but in sum, Jayco and Dexter Axles are aware of the issue. Dexter is replacing the axles with a 3" diameter vs 2 3/8".
My biggest complaint and issue is that I was never notified by Jayco, Dexter axle, and even my local dealer of this known issue. My goal is to notify as many owners as possible, so they don't put there family in harms way, since the manufactures are to lazy to be proactive on communication!
