Who checks their oil?

My routine is add the oil, let the engine run for a few minutes while checking for leaks, take the truck for a short ride, let it sit for 10 minutes and check the oil level again. I only had a problem once, the oil filter gasket was leaking and I had to replace it. I check my oil every day before we start the truck and head out.

Does it change from time to time?

I check the dipstick just to make sure it is where it is supposed to be.

I always check the level on the dipschtick to make sure it's correct. :)
I think not checking it after an oil change is taking a chance. The dipstick is the only way to check the oil level, why not check?

I check and recheck at least weekly when not on the road. Daily when RVing.
