I can count the number of times (fewer than 10) I saw a Class 8 truck broken down on side of the road in all the years I have been driving.
That is, not ones resting (engine running), etc.
Ones where clearly there is a mechanical problem indicated by hood up, or trailer left on side of road while tractor is gone.
Another proxy is how rarely we see Class 8 tow trucks on the road.
