12 years.
No water.
7.3L.
No water.
I draw samples from the fuel bowl and let them sit in clear containers for several days.
No water.
I dropped the fuel tank, removed the fuel pick up assembly, did not modify it, but repaired the corrosive build up concentrated under the foot of the pick up assembly. I drained the tank prior to doing the repair. Let the fuel sit in five gallon bucket for several days.
No water.
No bubbles. No globules. No droplets. No water.
I use Stanadyne Performance Forumula in every tank. I keep a turkey baster in the truck with the economy size bottle, and draw and squeeze a few dollops in as I'm fueling. I do it to maintain cetane levels. I don't think it has any effect on making water disappear. I've been looking for water for years, every bowl drain, which happens every filter change. And with all that looking for the last dozen years?
No water.
I change the fuel filter every 9,000 miles. I use the factory fuel filter from Racor. It cost $13 to change it. Not $130.00. Just $13.00. And when I change it, guess what I find every time?
No water.
Did I mention I have a 7.3L that is long out of warranty? I must have, because maybe that's why I have
No water.
What I can't figure out is, since I buy fuel at the same places everyone else does, how come so many 6.4L and 6.7L owners have are blamed for having so called water in their fuel that hijacks them on a hook to pay higher digits in repair bills than they have on their new odometers?
