I want to thank all who have responded in the spirit in which this thread was intended. I believe that this has been useful to many.
Unfortunantly as is all to common here, there was one mean spirted person who is trying to ruin it for who knows what reason.
Rather than try again to reason with him, I sent him the following PM:
As I have learned, not everyone has the same tastes. Some like to read novels, some newspapers. Some like brunettes, others blondes,,,,etc.
One cannot please everyone, so I don't try. You do not like my thread.
You could just choose not to read it...But you prefer to try and stir up the pot with inflamantory words (you can look that up in the dictionary).....I don't have the time for people like you. So there is a feature called blocking. As soon as I send this, I am blocking you. You can then do all the childish things that I now expect out of you....And it won't mean a thing as to me you will no longer exist as far as I am concerned.
If everyone took this action when someone trys this sort of thing in a thread....The miscreants would soon find that they are only talking to themselves, as nobody else is listening.
Just stumbled upon an unnoticed flag for a PM sent 10 months back and had to laugh…..as I had no idea what the complainant was referring to with their “inflamantory words”.
So, I took the Wordsmith’s suggestion and consulted the highly respected ‘Merriam-Webster’ files in regards to ‘inflamantory’ and received back, “The word you've entered isn't in the dictionary.”
Being an illiterate, I was dumbfounded at this point. I don’t recall ever ‘not’ liking a thread here, stirring forum pots isn’t my cup of tea, and M-W rejected my ‘spirted’ inquiry also. :h
Perplexed at this point and unable to reply to such an inflammatory and unfounded private message (sender left the playground and took their toys), I began searching threads/posts from this timeline where a Lizard and Dog may have crossed paths, and here we are. Success!
With that ^ Novel (and humor) out of the way, to the OP’s rant: Any objection I may have had at the time was to “the spirit in which this thread was intended” which, IMO, was to mislead members into complacency in regards to the potential dangers that exist with emulsified water in Diesel fuel being ran thru Modern common rail Diesel engines.
Name Calling: Miscreant?? My actions were not criminal or vicious. However, I do wear my ‘Infidel’ badge proudly, Thank You....there is no question in the Muslim community of knowing exactly where I vehemently stand. :W
GM would not have spent the Research time and money in dealing with this issue and it’s relation to premature fuel system component failures (resulting in the OEM change to the Racor Coalescer filter for the Dmax) had there not been an issue with Diesel fuel quality in their common rail fuel systems.

.....I use Stanadyne Performance Forumula in every tank....
...What I can't figure out is, since I buy fuel at the same places everyone else does, how come so many 6.4L and 6.7L owners have are blamed for having so called water in their fuel that hijacks them on a hook to pay higher digits in repair bills than they have on their new odometers?
It’s the difference between an old, slow, yet reliable 7.3L and a modern, high-output common rail Diesel engine....worse poor fuel temperament and far more costly when it fails.
But, why would you not expect a no-water result when you’re using a demulsifying fuel additive?
