I think you will be shocked to find out the dually stops quicker!
Yes, I would be shocked because a dually pickup with a brakeless 15K trailer is not going to stop very quickly at all. If you have some actual evidence of this I'd love to see it.
Yea that would be like stopping a freight train, good luck. x96mnm wrote:

The trailer is a Scamp 19' "Lite Fifth Wheel" and weighs 2400lbs dry max, with a pin weight of 400lbs.

Even fully decked out and loaded to the max it is well within the towing AND stopping capability of a Honda Ridgeline. Electric brakes are standard.
...and the hitch is really more of a GOOSENECK than a fifth wheel. It couples using a ball in the truck's bed. - austinjennaExplorer
You all are just guessing and have no clue what the real facts are. All you have is a small picture. As usual you all seam to be experts
Exactly. Everyone knows that a honda ridgeline is a beast of a towing machine. - Sport45Explorer II

I guess you never shredded a 7 way wire.
Actually no I haven't but I do understand that electric brakes are considerably less reliable than your truck brakes. I still stand by my assertion that a 4500 lb Honda will stop a 3000 lb trailer much faster than a 8000 lb dually pickup with stop a 15000 pound trailer if the trailer brakes fail.
I think you will be shocked to find out the dually stops quicker!
As posted before ridge line is more then capable though based on numbers.
I would be surprised. A 15,000# trailer with no brakes? - DirtyOilExplorer
