You already are. Many parts of US Pickups are made elsewhere. The Mini Van Ford Transit Connect, The Promaster and the larger Transit will be made entirely or partially in the US. They are already produced in Europe. Many US cars have a European or Asian orgin and are made or imported to the US. The US does export cars, but not Models by Ford, GM or Chrysler, more Global models from "transplanted factories" from the likes of BMW and Mercedes.Jeep is exported worldwide but are mainly powered by Diesels something yo do not get in the US.
Again you are making assumptions, because I don't buy transit vans and I couldn't care less where a piece of plastic trim is made. If I want a truck to pull my TT it will be NA made.
