wholesaler price vs. local dealer price

Career Military moved often. Never had the time to develop a good relationship with local dealers, vehicles or RVs- had five RVs and only once had the dealer I bought from do any work. Do a good inspection at delivery and most other stuff is covered by the item manufacturer, can call them to find out where to take it for fix locally. Bought two TTs from RVW and they helped me once find a local repair facility to do a A/C replacement under waranty. The first one I bought from them I printed out the on line worksheet on their website where figured the cost of the TT I wanted and and took it to the local dealer of that brand and asked him if he would match the price and he just laughted and told me I was crazy to think they would sell me the TT at that price. I must be crazy becuase they sold it at that price, which was several grand lower thean the local dealer quote.
