Who's messing with me?

Ill try and keep it short. New gas valves, new regulator, all new stove. Go out the last couple of nights after work to check on my baby. Turn stove knob on and it spews for 2 or 3 seconds as if the gas had been turned on. The teenager says its not him? The trailer sits indoors. Any ideal?
  • Sounds like the flow restrictor(s) in the system have set. Turn the tank supply valves off and let it sit for 5 minutes or so to let the restrictors reset. Then open the tank supply valves VERY SLOWLY. Each spud (the male part that goes into the tank and regulator) in these LP systems has a restrictor in it. It's a small steel or plastic ball and light spring that is supposed to set if the idiots open an unrestricted flow and don't realize what they did. I've drilled mine out so my system is "unprotected" as I've made a decision to accept the risk knowing the issues in the system. Not for everyone but it works for me.

x2...Also good for catching the neighbor boys in nefarious activities. A picture is worth a thousand words.
  • reread your message, are you saying you have the LP shut off and getting pressure out of the lines?

How would a pinched LP line do that? Sounds like a leaking regulator ot the "teen" is using the stove for pizza rolls.
  • Sorry, it's me.
I got board staring into your back window and had to find something more interesting to do.
BTW, that living room couch is hideous - just sayin.
