Who's truck has a parking brake, who has an emergency break?

Parking pawl is to stop the automatic transmission from transferring torque to the driveshaft with engine running in neutral.

Parking brake is to keep vehicle from rolling away when parked. If the hydraulic brakes completely fail I would call that an emergency that would warrant using the parking brake to bring the vehicle to a stop.
