Much more carlike than a Pickup, but able to have from 1500 to 2,700lb payload. Safer than a Pickup as well. Threatened by cheap Asian pickups, that handle and ride a lot worse. US Pickups are "rougher" than a Ute and do not have the performance car handling or ride of sports Utes.
