We've bought new twice. In our case, both toyhaulers. For the first bumper pull, we were newbies and didn't want to inherit someone else's problems, and finding a clean newer model used one was difficult. For the 2nd one, we would have looked at a newer used one but there didn't seem to be any that existed that fit our needs. I think our requirements are only available in newer fifth wheel haulers (namely, 12.5' garage but less than 40', double axles), and were probably typical requirements for a "move-up" hauler... so people don't get rid of them once they have them vs the starter smaller travel trailer style ones that people outgrow.
And, my husband likes new :) New houses, new cars, etc. We aren't that handy other than doing basic maintenance stuff.
