We bought our second 5th wheel used. It became obvious pretty quickly that the previous owners had maintained it to death with bleach and who knows what else. From the holding tanks to the rubber roof, it was bleached, dried out and deteriorating. People seem to either neglect them to death or they think they know more than the manufacturer and subject them to harsh chemicals and gimmicks or long outdated hearsay perpetuated on internet forums. If you find a rare gem, better snap it up as it won't be on the lot for long. We've had very good luck buying new.
