I have found that when shopping for late model "clean" trailers, cars, trucks, etc, the price is often very close to new prices. In the last six years I have bought a new travel trailer, a new equipment trailer and a new horse trailer. In all cases I looked at numerous used ones first. I just was not seeing the bargains in used market that many folks claim to have gotten. The bargains were usually the ones that need a lot of attention. I buy new, maintain the heck out of them, and keep things until they are very far down into end of life status.
When it came to my travel trailer also, I was very picky about getting just the right floorplan. I felt very good when I found the one that would work well for me, so I grabbed it quickly. I had to travel 600 miles to get the price I wanted, but that's ok with me also.
