We bought used twice. The first one was exactly what we wanted but I didn't know what to look for as far as condition. It was a private seller and I got snookered. I did a lot of repairs and kept it going for a couple of years.
The second and present camper was purchased from a dealer. We looked for about 6 months, new and used. We knew precisely what we wanted and then came across the Dart. It was less than a year old and was traded in on a larger unit. I went over, under, and all through that thing with a moisture meter and an ice pick. We wanted to pay cash, no financing, and got it for a reasonable price along with a decent allowance for the old one.
So, buying used can be a **** shoot. We were very fortunate the second go 'round.
