The advantage of buying used is cost. The disadvantage is selection. Finding a used unit to your liking in good shape is hard to do.
BUT.... Most people really have no idea how they will actually use a TT... Most will find that whatever they buy, lacks in some areas.
IOW, a newbie imagines how he will use a TT... But often finds after the purchase that how he imagined it, isn't reality. Also, things can change over time. So you might as well buy used for the first TT. Get your feet wet, and find out just what features are actually important to you. Then you won't lose your shirt on it, when you sell it and then buy a new one that better fits how you will use it.
I agree. We thought we were covering our bases making sure Hubby could stand up inside the trailer. It didn't even occur to us that the tub/shower was another few inches off that floor. And we didn't sit in the booth either until after we bought it and discovered how uncomfortable and short it is for a tall person.

Ok, hijack, but have you looked at Northwood Manufacturing? Cathedral arch ceilings with 6' 6" ceiling height on Snow River and other models. Would venture a guess Outdoors RV would be similar.
No, but I think we need more than that, depending on the shower location and height. Our TT is 6'4" which is also Hubby's height, but the tub base is 6" so the height in there is only 5'8". Not a big problem for a weekend, but for is for longer periods. He has quit whacking his head on the a/c in the middle of the night but still gets a corner of the tv from time to time.
Edited to add: I just called Northwood and the guy said their shower heights are all at least 6'2" so we'll look at them. Thank you.
