The 'air admittance valves' under kitchen and/or bathroom sink may not be staying fully closed and the furnace return air draw could be sucking odor up thru drain line from grey tanks....they can smell just as bad as black tank.
We do have one of these under the sink in the kitchen. We have just emptied a full basin load of water down the drain, and DW says she can smell "something" . So it could be the AAV. How do you tell if they are working or not ? Ours seems to be a hat with holes in the side that goes down into the main pipe held by a screw thread collar. Of course, it's totally inaccessible - well if I had elastic arms maybe I could get to it !! Need a small boy to get in the cupboard under the sink ! Don't have small boys here - it's an Adult only park ! Ain't camping fun sometimes !! I guess we'll just buy a new one and install it. How long do they last ? (in Arizona - which dries everything out.)
