Why don't the manufacturers recommend LT tires??

I'm using Endurance ST tires. But a lot of people who I consider to be very smart use LT tires. So reasonable minds can differ on that point; the fact that so many smart folks use LT tires causes me...

been towing for 30 years, big & small TT's (not a camper). All of them had ST's only had one flat tire, not a blowout. (If I'd known it had gone flat wouldn't have ruined the tire, but was pulling with a 454 Suburban and couldn't tell it had gone flat. Didn't notice it til stopped for gas). I always keep them pumped up to recommended pressure, don't overload and don't exceed 65. The past 3 sets have been Chinese tires from Les Schwab.
