Not exactly.
If the trailer came with LT tires, tire manufacturers will likely say it is OK to put certain of their LT tires on as replacements - assuming the size and load range are appropriate.
If you ask if some of their LT tires can go on trailers, they will say Yes, but SHOULD qualify that with remarks about appropriate size and inflation pressure.
If you ask if one of their LT tires can replace an ST tire, they will say No.
And the above is due to legal liability reasons.
Notice how carefully I worded the above 3 statements. I have answered these kinds of questions many times and have become very cautious about what I say and how I say it. Please note: I am not currently employed by a tire manufacturer.
