Why don't the manufacturers recommend LT tires??

I'm using Endurance ST tires. But a lot of people who I consider to be very smart use LT tires. So reasonable minds can differ on that point; the fact that so many smart folks use LT tires causes me...

TomG asked why I think that anecdotes are more accurate than tabular statistics. I don't, Tom! I wish there were good stats. But as far as I can tell, there aren't. So we have to fall back on anecdotes told by our fellow RVers. Not very scientific, but what else can we do?
