We used to talk about bias ply tires and now it is biased forum comments. How does 8,000 to 10,000 miles per year for the last twelve years, towing in all kinds of weather and road conditions without a single ST tire failure, sound? It is a wonder that the manufactures risk towing the units to the dealers. I am not a proponent of ST tires, I could care less what they are called. I do care about performance and in over 100,000 miles they have not let me down.
The only ST tire that can come close to 100k mile of service is the original LT/ST all position Sailun S637 G load all steel ply carcass with 17/32nd tread depth. These came out in the '10-'11 era. Some haulers reported these tires were making 70k-80k miles in a years time on their heavy GN trailers.
The new ST Sailuns load G have a 10/32" tread depth and so far haulers report miles of service has dropped to the 50k range on average.
Your 100k must be over several sets or a very lightweight trailer.
