Why hasn't anyone released a HD truck with a Turbo V8?

It seems that every vehicle manufacture is making their HD trucks more and more capable. With the introduction of turbo charged V6 engines like the Ecoboost, Why hasn't anyone released a 6.2\6.4 turbo charged v8 Gas engine?

The only reason I can think of is that it would possibly reduce the number of Diesel engines they sell.

It will be interesting to see if Ford will put a V8 Ecoboost in the SD series. It would be good low cost competition for the diesel for those who do not need the high torque of the modern diesels.

    There are a number of aftermarket turbo kits for the 6.8 V10 and 6.2 V8 available, but I don't know how long they last in towing applications.

    There is a 5.0 ecoboost in the works.

    Or you could just go to Nelson Racing Engines and have him install one of these in your truck, then you can pass all the diesels on the hills.
