The 5.0L with Ecoboost will provide a significant boost in torque and HP compared to the 6.2L. I would love to have one in an F250 to replace my V10. It will be interesting to see if Ford will put a V8 Ecobooet in the SD series. It would be good low cost competition for the diesel for those who do not need the torque of the modern diesels.

- Grit_dogNavigatorOk kids.....go to your rooms!
- BedlamModeratorThere are a number of aftermarket turbo kits for the 6.8 V10 and 6.2 V8 available, but I don't know how long they last in towing applications.
- likestrucksExplorerThere is a 5.0 ecoboost in the works.

Or you could just go to Nelson Racing Engines and have him install one of these in your truck, then you can pass all the diesels on the hills.

Being a turd and being reliable are two different attributes... Don't confuse the two.
BTW... This includes the fuel injected version as well.
And me and the other thousands of other people still wholeheartedly disagree so.....
And onto the other bigger turd is Engine #6. But I guess I'll have to disagree with the other thousands of other people too.
