There's a dealer near Chicago that has lots of 2500 subs. I found them searching on autotrader.
I just bought a 2009 2500 Suburban for $18,400. I found it on Craigslist. It has 99,000 miles on it. It's a basic model with vinyl floors and very few options. The body had hail damage. It was a former border patrol unit so it has lots of holes where the law enforcement equipment has been removed. It's solid mechanically and pulls my 7,000 pound boat easily. I wanted the vinyl floors so that's a bonus for me. I had the exterior lettered for my business so that helps hide the body flaws.
When I was looking there were always 3 or 4 available within about 500 miles of me. There's a fair amount of pre '07 available with the 8.1L big block. I wanted a 2009 or newer so I would have the 6 speed auto that downshifts automatically in T/H mode as well as cruise control mode.
