Maybe overkill, but you would notice a big difference. Also, make sure the trailer is loaded with more weight to the front. If it's light in the front, it will cause what you describe. The WD hitch will also transfer more weight to the front axle of your Toyota improving handling too. You can get inexpensive setups with friction sway control for under $300.
Another option is to just add a sway control bar to the trailer. A buddy of mine had a tent trailer, about 2500 lbs that he could barely keep on the road at about 55 mph. It fishtailed like crazy. He added 1 friction sway control and that solved his problem. This usually involves welding a ball mount to the receiver for the sway control. The other end bolts to the trailer.
