The back of the truck sags under the weight of the trailer but the trailer itself is level. I imagine we could increase the rear tire pressure, and throw lots of money at this problem and buy a weight distribution hitch, sway bars, new leaf springs for the trailer, shocks for the truck, etc. and wind up with a Near perfect towing situation. But I'm hoping that there is one or possibly two things that will make the biggest difference for a reasonable cost. Is a WD system the answer?
Yes, that is the answer, the Equal-I-Zer hitch is the best answer, get the weight back on the front tires and off the back end. I am guessing that you have 235/75r15 tires on you Prerunner, if so, put on light truck (LT) tires so you can go to 44 pounds in the rear tires, that will also help the situation, but the WDH is the best first step.
