The bottom line is as long as it fits within the constraints of the vehicle, the best tow vehicle is what makes the most sense to the individual. There's no "one size fits all", and everyone has their preferences. That's why I was so pushy on just doing the math. If it all fits, then it's great.
After that, the comments about requiring premium gas to get the most performance vs maybe a Tahoe/Escalade that can run on reg unleaded would easily be the next consideration for me. But, with the amount of money you're gonna drop on the tow vehicle and the trailer, Im guessing that may not be a huge factor.
I should look at Airstreams. I need to see what everyone else sees in them. Folks.. please don't take that comment as invitation to a whole new round of debate.
