Yes, people vote with their pocket book, but WHY ?
Probably because opening/closing a Murphy bed is as much fun as setting up and taking down a dinette or jackknife couch.
They're okay for occasional use but, if you need it every day it gets real old, real quick.
Actually, quite the contrary. I sell a lot of condos that have murphy beds. Counterbalanced properly, they are VERY easy to open, and close, and can be fully made up when closed, so they're immediately ready to sleep when opened up -- not so with a dinette conversion or jack knife sofa in an RV for sure!! - gboppExplorer

Ours is a bunkhouse, so the living space is not optimal. It would be nice to have a Murphy bed that was either a bed or when it was pushed up, a sofa was there. I work out of the TT, so being in the main living area can be distracting some times.
-Michael - GrandpaKipExplorer IIWe forewent the Murphy bed for a dedicated walk around queen. Didn’t want to lose the pass through, the hassle of putting it up and down, and it looked like I’d be fixing it later on as the one we saw wasn’t the best built thing.
We don’t need a couch. Our u-shaped dinette works if we have to be inside. - StirCrazyModeratorgeneraly most rv ceilings are not tall enough for a north sought murphy bed, so that leavs you with a east west so one side of the bed is inaccessable with out crawling over your partner. Most people dont want this and they want a bedroom they can just close away and not have to make up to use the table or the couch and so on. I know I bought a bunkhouse that has its own room so the kids can sleep or what ever while I am in the kitchen doing stuff.
Steve - dodge_guyExplorer III wouldn't want a Murphy bed in an RV or even in my home. They make no sense. I was watching an RV show and a young couple was going to be full time RVing and wanted a 22ft classB with a Murphy bed. They found one but when it was out it blocked the door for the fridge.
Yes, they don't make them because 99.9% of the buyers don't want them. - RetiredRealtorRExplorerIf you have a murphy bed (especially one that's a couch) you have no window behind it. Look at most RV's -- there's a window behind the couch. Natural light is very important, especially in a smaller RV, and a murphy bed blocks it.
Secondly, manufacturers build as cheap as they possibly can, and a murphy bed costs a good bit more than a stationary bed or a jack knife sofa. - ppineExplorer IIRockwood has a Murphy and it is very convenient. I sleep out there all the time.

I purchased a 2020 Flagstaff Microlite 25brds with a murphy bed in April to replace a Salem 27rb. Was looking for a little shorter unit with a slide. My wife and I were initially against looking at units with a Murphy bed but finally came to realize it was the best setup with a smaller trailer. After having our new trailer for a few months, we love the murphy bed. Easy set up and fold away without having to tear down the bedding. Works great for us!

my brother loves his winni with the murphy bed and if we were looking for a trailer of that size a murphy bed would be a requirement. I do NOT want to have a dedicated bed and no sofa and have to use the dinette for seating inside. fine for eating but not much else. Murphy bed solves that problem. And we do NOT like jacknife sofa's either. not comfortable to sit on, not comfortable to sleep on. - mserenoExplorerI purchased a 2020 Flagstaff Microlite 25brds with a murphy bed in April to replace a Salem 27rb.
