With me it was about fuel consumption. I had an 03, even after cold air intake and programmer, I only got 12-13 mpg unloaded. 6-8 mpg with my 8,000 camper. Which meant in Montana, I could barely get between gas stations. The 10 I towing with my diesel is welcomed, plus 18 unloaded on the freeway, even after regens.
