I used a 3/4 ton Chevy with the 6 liter gas LS V8. Very good power, it did eat a lot of gas, was very reliable and durable, no issues.
I'm a hot rod enthusiast and I note that the newer Chevy V8 (LS series) seems to be taking over as the new engine of choice for hot rods. Slowly, but surely it seems to be replacing the famous old, Chevy V8 which was and still is for that matter, the rodder's engine of choice.
