I'm a hot rod enthusiast and I note that the newer Chevy V8 (LS series) seems to be taking over as the new engine of choice for hot rods. Slowly, but surely it seems to be replacing the famous old, Chevy V8 which was and still is for that matter, the rodder's engine of choice.
LS motors have been around since the late 90's. Not exactly what I would call "new".
I call 'em new, because when people think of Chevy V8's they invariably think of the old small block, first out in 1955. Yes the LS came out in the '90's....but to me, it's 'new' compared to the 'old' Chevy small block V8.
