Wow, didn't expect THIS many responses! I'm glad to hear that there are a bunch of non-haters out there. It just seems like on a lot of sites, people are complaining about the sluggish, gas guzzling 6.0l. All I have to compare it to is my dad's old 7.4L and there is a night and day difference between my sub and his old sub. I feel that the 6.0l is a good compromise to the old big block so I always wondered why there seemed to be so many haters out there.
As far as diesel goes, I am selling my truck tomorrow (hopefully) and that will be the last of my diesel days. I have no choice but to tow with a gasser unless I follow through with my plan of having an LMM Duramax swapped into my suburban.
I think that the 6.0l is more than capable of towing all I need it to, I'm always curious about people who claim "it isn't much good over XXXXXlbs" or whatever they want to claim....
