I've been on this forum for alot of years.
The only engine I see that is truly 'hated on' is the Ford/International 6.0 diesel. Some of that 'hate' is deserved, sometimes.
The GM 6.0 gas engine doesn't appear to me to have 'haters', at least no more than any other engine out there (except the 6.0 diesel).
