Why wood roof trusses?
Keystone has metal roof trusses that connect to aluminum walls. ORV has wood trusses that attach to aluminum walls. Keystone roof insulation is R16 and ORV's is R21. Why do manufacturers still...

First, I agree with all of the POSITIVE aspects of wood trusses on TT. I am glad to see some (most ?) TT manufactures have gone to a pitched/bowed truss design so that no water will have a chance to pool on the roof.
THAT IS THE CHALLENGE !
Roofing material need to be lightweight and long lasting. "Rubber" roofing is a good choice but UV does cause it to break down. Poor flashing and caulk/sealants are also a problem.
I am still surprised that the way TT roofs are fastened to the side walls. To much reliance on sealants to prevent leaks down the inside of the exterior siding.
