Hi OP, Chevy's motor is the "Duramax". "Powerstroke" is a ford thing. It truly behooves you to go out and sit in all 3 trucks and take em' all for a drive. I did it when I selected my RAM. Everybody ups their game every year. Also, if you want to wait, Ford has an all new superduty rolling out in 2017, so fall of 2016 you can probably get some really killer deals on the existing super duty trucks (but that's a little over a year away). Even though this website tends to be a little more neutral, it's also a good idea to visit forums that cater to each truck manufacturer and learn the ins and outs of each one. What are owner likes? dislikes? Issues? etc... Lastly, Nissan is also coming into the game with the XD Titan equipped with a Cummins ISV derivative. So if you're sold on diesel, you should probably consider that truck as well. Should be here in the fall I guess? If what you're hauling is still relatively light and within half-ton territory, the Ford Ecoboost motors offer low end grunt and strong pull for their weight ratings. Also, being turbo charged, they aren't nearly as affected with high altitude towing.
Good luck!
Good luck!
