And I do change lanes. I'm sure other people don't like it much, but I will pick the lane that doesn't cause this until I can switch back, and I really don't care which lane that might be lol.
For routes back and forth to ohio, I have been on them enough to know where its going to happen and where it ends.
Many of the major highways are still concrete underneath, topped with asphalt as a cost-saving measure when the concrete road surface deteriorated. The problem with that is the expansion joints are still under there and over time, the asphalt gets pounded down and the expansion joint cracks come up through.
The effect is so universal and prevalent that you'd think road designers would change the spacing, but I think they may have an ulterior motive in mind.
