This is about the worst advice you can give. Ruin the engine, void the warranty, destroy resale value, kill reliability, and eliminate almost everyone from doing service on it. Why not paint it purple with green polk-a-dots, too. It is already ruined!

I read on the interwebs that the top-secret dual-rear-wheel option will also include an exhaust brake :B

The Ram 1500 VM Diesel V-6 will be matted to the ZF eight speed or TorqueFlite 8. My bet is it will not have an EB but only time will tell.

If the factory doesn't offer one, I bet there will be an aftermarket brake available within two years.

Is that truck gas or diesel? If its the Cummins 6.7 it already has an exhaust brake built into the turbo. It's a nice feature to use even when running solo since it helps preserve the regular brakes. I use mine all the time (except if roads are icy).

Welcome to the world of diesels, are the 1500 3.0 diesels available now?

...and void your factory warranty, be a guinea pig for brand new aftermarket products that were rushed to market, run illegally & perhaps not pass emissions, and have major problems at resale time.

Now, buying a 10yr old, 150,000mi diesel for $9000 and then doing the aforementioned mods to build a toy is different, but I wouldn't think of "going there" with a new rig.
