Just checked the actual numbers, and the dry weight on my toy hauler is 6200# and I have 100 gallon fresh water tank that is usually on the full side (an extra 800#). When I say I have ZERO control issues, I mean none. That goes for stopping as well - I can stop easily without even using the trailer brakes (don't ask me how I know ;) ). I can't see where you should have any issues with a new F150. Unless I'm missing something in your numbers it seems like you are well within your tow range which the factory always low-balls anyway.
