Then the rest of us think the site has taken a 1/2 ton and made it a 3/4 ton.
A 6K TT tows heavier than a 10K dump trailer on the flats, and puts a larger strain on the truck on the average tow.
He asked “will this vehicle safely do the job”. He didn’t ask if he could pass a semi going up an 8% grade on a two lane road pulling a 10,000 lbs trailer. The answer to the question is “I don’t know”, because I don’t have enough information about the trailer or the truck. But whether or not it is a ½ ton or ¾ ton or grandma's station wagon has no bearing on the question.
