Going to by a 2015 f150, which will weigh 5,000# and will tow in excess of 11,000#. I want to know, in ya'lls opinions, if that truck would do fine pulling a TT with these specs:
Dry Axle Weight (approx. Lbs.): 5375
Dry Hitch Weight (approx. Lbs.): 670
Net Carrying Capacity: 3955
Gross Dry Weight - Lbs.: 6045
Gross Vehicle Weight (GVWR) - Lbs.: 10000
Exterior Length (approx. w / hitch): 27'3"
Specs aren't even out for that truck. Plus you'd need to know your payload. I'd wait to see payload, tow capacity, and axle ratings. That trailer looks to be a bit heavy for the 1/2 ton. I'd look at 3/4 ton trucks for that heavier trailer.
An aluminum truck, not for me. Ford has pushed me to a F250 or Ram 2500 6.4L gasser for my next truck. But let us know how it goes. I'm wondering how great their aluminum to steel fasteners will be in stopping dis-similar metal corrosion.
