Winnebago Micro Minnie 1706FB - actual bed dimensions?

Very close to buying one, but local dealer doesn’t have a 1706 FB in stock.

Vague winnebago web site claims “queen” for floor plans.

We actually measured a 1700BH and a 2106FBS in stock with a tape and they were very different between them, and neither close to 60x80. 54” wide only for 1700bh - that is a double, NOT a queen. 2106fbs was wider, but a LOT shorter where my feet dangled over the end.

If you own a 1706FB and can measure the bed, what is it in reality?

We also found the 1700BH has a hidden feature where you gently pull a handle and the entire bed flips up on lift struts and a piano hinge providing fantastic access to the entire storage under the bed from inside the trailer!. Every Micro Minnie should have this, but i fear the 1700bh is unique on this feature. May be able to DIY this in a 1706FB, but sad that it isn’t like this from the factory. Or does your bed lift up!?

  • My 2015 2101DS has a propane/electric water heater. One year experiment?
  • They now use a normal 2-way water heater since 2017 model year.
  • I agree call Winnie about specific specs. Once you buy it, you can be more specific using the TT vin# for build specs etc.

Just something I would look into .
W...says it uses a tankless water heater but im not sure which model. I remember some negative posts regarding them and they may all be regarding Girard units (?).
I was able to find some info on the Truma units which seem interesting.

"Truma is a German manufacturer of comfort heating and water heating appliances. They’ve been a staple in European RVs for years, and the company itself dates back to the 1940s. They’ve recently started producing appliances for the North American RV market: both on-demand water heaters, and furnace/water heater combination units".

  • I’m a Winnie fan...but...inside the 1706 where will you sit? That booth gets uncomfortable and the only other option is the bed. Get the 2106 with the slide and sofa. Don’t let anyone talk you out of two axels.
