How many of you have risked using the TT during cold weather (at or slightly below freezing for lows)?
That is our norm except mid summer at altitude. We are fine even in our three season ultra lite trailer as long as it gets back above freezing during the day. Freezing day and night means we stay home.
I'd be fibbing if I were to say we can't feel it when it's mid 20s. Thinner walls, single pane windows and less insulation have a impact so we do what we can. Heavy bath towels cover the windows at night and really help with the drafts, especially from the frames. I am adding foam in areas like the cabinets, cupboards and storage bays. We don't use the bunks for sleeping so those are getting foamed as well as the wall under the table and the slanted wall on my side of the bed. Simply stuffing the vent above the bed made a big difference.
Most of it is comfort related. getting foam under the plumbing where it runs over the bare wheel well as well as opening the cabinet is to keep it from freezing up. I also want to replace the access cover to the tub with a vent or at least a door to get some air in there.
I like the idea of roll down skirting. We rarely use the same site twice so we would have to put new in for each trip.
