  • Water is the major concern
    - Drain all the tanks - fresh, black, and grey water. Open all spigots so the feed lines drain. If you have low-point drain points on your hot and cold feed lines open them.
    - Turn valves to water heater to bypass mode
    - Open drain on water heater and let it drain
    - Reinsert drain plugs removed above.
    - Use an antifreeze bypass valve between the pump and the freshwater tank. You may need to buy and install one of these.
    - Close all faucets
    - Turn on the pump with the feed tube in a jug of RV antifreeze.
    - Go around and turn on every faucet, in turn until antifreeze comes out. What flows out will fill the p-traps and some will drain into the gray/black tank. Don't forget the shower, toilet and any outside water connection.
    - Close the anti-freeze bypass and drain out the tube.

    Battery
    - disconnect the battery or the vampires will eat it up
    - Some people take the battery indoors/garage, others leave on battery tender, others just plug the unit into shore power once a month to top the battery off (reconnect while this is happening)

    Fridge
    - Open the fridge door(s) and prop them open

    Food
    - Remove all food. Canned / bottled can freeze and burst. Dry food can attract vermin. All food will go stale.

    Vermin
    - If there is a chance of attracting vermin, remove all soft goods that might be shredded for nesting material -- paper products, clothing, linens, cloth bags, cards and games, etc.
    - If there is a high probability of vermin, consider dryer sheets, peppermint oil, mothballs, traps, GreatStuff in the holes to the outside, etc.
  • YouTube is great to learn, just remember it's not rocket science. Water heater bypass valves thrown so water heater drains. Pink stuff where ever water goes I'm sure videos would show whatever else you would have to do with it being a driver.
  • Yoo-Toob solves these issues.

What is it that the manual doesn't cover? My previous Winnie had very complete winterizing procedures.
