When you use the "blow-out" method... just run the water pump for about 30 seconds which will clear it.
There is always some debate this time of year about which method works the best. The owners manual on my last two rigs describe in detail each of the methods. So just do which ever you choose, to each his own. Both will work just fine. I've done both.
