Yes, we bought the 18v drill, put it in the camper but we used the hand crank for our first trip. The hubs wanted to get the "feel" of how the stabilizers felt when cranked down before he tried the drill. Didn't take that long at all and worked out fine. So our next trip we will try he drill. In the end, we now have a new drill set which we probably needed anyway as the old set just wouldn't keep a charge.

I use an 18 volt impact driver from Harbor Freight. $29 and works great.

I use a 12 volt cordless the socket size 3/4". I got mine at Home Depot but my buddy just went to the used tool section in the pawn store and got one dirt cheap!

I have used a 12 volt DeWalt for years with variable speed. Works great. I also have a 19.2 volt Craftsman impact driver which also works but is awful noisy. I keep it handy for re-torquing the lug nuts while traveling.

So Callans1, did you get an 18V drill like you said in your last post and have you had a chance to use it? IMWTK!

Good point, I think most drills have a torque adjustment dial that would help alleviate having a hurt wrist. Mine has a dial that goes up to 20 and then a picture of a drill bit for max torque.

I just bought a ryobi 18v Cordless drill/driver for $99 that will live in the trailer for misc tasks along with the jacks. The bonus is you can get a decent cordless vacuum for $24 (I think) that will work with the same batteries.
