Wireless tire pressur sensors?

Does anyone have these? I have been thinking about getting some for a while. One day one of my neighbors pulled up and he had one of this whole tires gone from the rim after a trip! Guessing he didn't even realize while towing. Meanwhile, I am sure that tire did some damage before coming off the rim completely.

Does anyone have any suggestions? It seems most just screw into the valve and sends a signal to a cigarette lighter sensor. I have to question if those will reach the 40-50' from axle to truck. I also only have one cigarette lighter in the front of my $60K dollar ram (really?). I don't want to lose one and there's not a whole lot of room for a double.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

  • I will have an opinion on this in a couple of days.....as I bought a system from CW that is now on sale.

Got two extra senders so I can monitor my 6 RV tires and 2 on the trailer too.

It has a "repeater" that I will plug into a 12 V outlet in the bedroom intended for a TV; need to get a power plug for that.
  • Looks like a nice system without eating up my 12v port. Do you guys have the flow-through or the caps?
  • The cigarette lighter socket is only used for charging the main display unit on occasion. Order an extra valve sensor for your spare tire.
