What about the wires leading INTO the outlet? Do you get power from where those wires come in? Could be just a bad light fixture.

And I do have a wiring diagram for 2005 and newer highwalls. Schematic just has a pair of wires labeled "To Ceiling Lights". It has never been helpful at all.

There isn't a bulb outlet there, it's just a 12v plug (it's not a cigarette lighter outlet, it's like a mono headphone jack) to plug in the portable light/fan combo over the dinette. I pulled down the receptacle and checked for power at the back of the fixture.

There are 4 wires that run to the roof, one set up the front right post (black and white) and one set on the bathroom/dinette side running up the back left post by the bathroom (black/red and black/blue).

The black and white wires in the front right corner look to control the general roof lighting. When I unplug it, the ceiling lights go out.

It looks like the black/blue wire at the rear is for the switched bathroom light but I'm not sure about the black/red in this pair and if it's supposed to be hot or ground. Since the outlet I'm looking at is different, like the switched bathroom light ( ie it's not a light fixture, but a 12v outlet) I'm wondering if maybe it's supposed to be powered by the black/red wire. The wires at the outlet itself are black and white, so if the black/red wire is powering it ( or providing ground for that matter) it would need to switch over somewhere to a pure black wire. I haven't had a chance yet to do a continuity check on it.

My thought right now is that both the wires in the rear/left post (black/red, black/blue) are supposed to be hot. The white wire running up the front right post could provide the ground for all the roof fixtures. The black/blue wire is pulled to a separate switch for the bathroom light. I'm betting the black/red wire here is supposed to power that 12v outlet and it's broken somewhere....
