Another caution against using silicone, Don't. Dicor self leveling caulk if on EPDM roof.
Myself I also used butyl tape instead of the included foam gasket. Making it primary seal instead of relying on external caulking. Don't over tighten screws, going 'round and 'round allowing tape to ooze (better if warm). Ill usually let set overnight then trim butyl before caulking. Why FF recommends silicone is beyond me-
